Development cooperation

Cooperation between countries is paramount to knowledge generation and exchange for sustainable development. It is relevant for fostering understanding and diplomacy between countries on all aspects of social life. Farafina Institute generates data on people's perceptions, opinions, and knowledge of trends, impacts, and challenges of aid flow to Africa.

The Institute also investigates people's opinions on and expectations of not only Africa's trade relations with its traditional partners like the EU and the USA, but also with emerging partners like China, India, and Brazil. We gauge views about these emerging partnerships and the prospects and impacts they have on African development. In development cooperation we are interested, amongst others, in the following themes:
- regional integration;
- effectiveness of development aid;
- trade.
